What Beacon is
Beacon sends your phone’s location to the people you choose, at a set frequency, until the end time you set.
Beacon periodically sends this phone’s location to the people you choose, until the end time you set. When the time is up, it stops on its own.
Who can see it
- People you add. They must follow you, and you must follow them.
- Anyone who has a link you make. See Share a Beacon link.
The people you add get a notification, and see your location on a map in Rijjin.
What it keeps
Before you start, you choose Latest point only or Full route history. You can’t change this after Beacon starts.
- Latest point only:
“Only your most recent location is kept, and it is deleted when Beacon stops. No route is recorded.”
- Full route history:
“Every update is kept as a route you can review and export, and you can let chosen people see it. It stays until you delete it.”
Before you rely on it
“Beacon is not emergency equipment. Updates can be late or stop without warning, so never rely on it to get help.”
- Your privacy zones don’t apply. People you share with see your exact location.
- It uses battery and mobile data. Without a connection, updates wait on your phone and are sent later.
- If your phone closes Rijjin, updates stop until you open it again.
